SPECS AND PARAMETERS

Maintenance Specification:

Engine Oil: 0W-20

Engine Oil Change: Every 50 hours change oil and filter as needed (3 1/2 - 4 quarts required)

Gearbox Oil: 75W-90 or 75W-140 Mobile One Synthetic gear oil / 8 ounces. Temps or fluid ounces could vary depending on generation of gearbox, Max temps should generally not exceed 220 F.

10 ounces of gear oil should be used with the 48 state or X gearbox. Warning temps are at 240 F, Max Temps at 250 F.

Gearbox Oil Change: Every hour for the first 10 hours then every 25 hours

Specific to Powered Parachute: Every hour for the first ten hours, then once a year thereafter

Coolant: Evans NPG Plus

Specific to Powered Parachute: Honda Long-Life Antifreeze/Coolant type 2 (Ration 50/50 distilled water)

Gearbox Service: Only necessary if metal is found with the oil, or experiencing abnormal temperatures, then call Viking for maintenance

Fuel: 100LL/91 +Octane - If using 100LL must use Decalin or TCP to avoid lead build-up over time
